@wuzzy, I wrote an enhancement for craftguide using the new API function. The enhancement uses your reveal system from doc + doc_items mods.

This way the crafting guide show only items crafteable by already revealed items. Both information systems are in sync regarding what the player is allowed to see.

Version 1.3.0 is out!
This is mostly a maintenance update for MT 5.0.0.

Changelog:
  • All mods: Switch to new translation system of MT
  • All mods: cleanup/refactoring work for MT 5.0.0
  • Add partial translation into Portuguese by BrunoMine (thx!)
  • doc_basics: Translate into German
  • doc_basics: Update help text content for new 5.0.0 goodies
  • doc_items: Better line-breaking
  • doc_items: Add factoid for slippery blocks
  • doc_items: Recognize group fake_liquid=1. If this is present for a block, liquid-related infos are removed to avoid some weirdness. This group is recommended for cobwebs that are internally implemented as liquids.
  • doc_items: Also reveal item entries on inventory interactions


@BrunoMine: Your translation has been included. But because of the new version, some strings are now outdated.
@bell07: Rejected. This is out of scope as the functionality is only useful in combination with a specific crafting guide.

I'm not exactly sure if this is the same mod as the one you use in your MCL2 game. What I'd love to have there is a next/previous button in the blocks, items, tools etc. section. Aborting and clicking through to the new items showing up is not too much fun right now as each new item requires to start from the beginning.

MCL2 uses the same modpack, but with tiny changes for compability. Also, doc_encyclopedia is not used because it's not needed there.

I don't understand your problem about next/previous buttons, they clearly do exist. In the entry tab, they are at the bottom right.

Can you please explain in detail what you want? Because I find it hard to understand.

Just a quick notice to say that I have started to write the French translation. But there are a lot of things to write then checkā€¦ I should be able to send the patch during the next week.

Sorry. You're right about that. I checked again and saw them. But what's still missing is a "back" button that leads back to the list of blocks (or tools or items etc.) page. There are often new entries, and it is time consuming to scroll through all the old ones.

That's not very helpful. I'm unable to reproduce the bug. :-(

What did you do to trigger this? (If you can, give me a list of EXACT steps starting from a fresh world)
Which versions (of the doc mods, of Minetest, of other mods) did you use?
Which mods did you use (and which versions)?
Which game did you use?
