Build #20181201-0905: updated basic_materials, biome_lib, technic, digilines, digistuff, gloopblocks, homedecor, moreblocks, pipeworks, and prefab_redo

The Technic update in this build separates the CNC machine into its own mod: technic_cnc. Be sure you enable it in your world config, or you may end up with a bunch of unknown nodes.

Incidentally, as a result, the CNC no longer hard-depends on Technic, but will cooperate with it if enabled (and behave exactly as it always has), so you can enable it on worlds you otherwise won't use Technic on, if you just want the shapes it can make. In that situation, it has a different craft recipe, and will cut shapes instantly (similar to Moreblocks' table saw).

Dear all,

I'm new to playing modded minetest (with this modpack) so i'm sorry if this question is really stupid.

Basically, i can't craft many of the game's special types of blocks such as stairs (any kind) or slabs. I'm assuming it has something to do with the modpack changing recipies or making the recipies need some kind of crafting table like in minecraft, am I correct? How does one craft stairs in this modpack?

This is Minetest, we don't need crafting tables here. :-P Craft stairs by either a pattern like this:

X - -
X X -
X X X

...where X is the material you want to use, such as wood or stone (not all materials can make stairs etc). Several other shapes have recipes like that. Use the table saw ("circular saw") for more advanced shapes.

This formula for stairs doesn't work here with any material i tried

neither can i craft this circular saw.

Hey there, I installed Minetest 5.0 (sfan5 build) and extracted the contents of the modpack into the mods folder from a fresh download. However I my character's lower body sinks through everything like this: (I couldn't find this problem anywhere I searched) Image

No texture pack and no setting changes it. Through some trial and error I suspect the inventory mod to have caused it but I'm at a loss to fix it. Any ideas?

Sincerely appreciate the effort to make this game as great as it is.

I doubt Unified Inventory is at fault - as far as I know, it doesn't touch player models. I would sooner blame the armor or wield3d mod, perhaps player_textures, judging from your screenshot.

Going down the list I finally discovered that the culprit was "playeranim". Thanks for the help

Ah. That mod must just not be 5.0.0-compatible (Dreambuilder isn't well-tested under 5.0.0). There were minor changes in the engine regarding how player collision/selection boxes work, as compared to 0.4.x, enough to break some mods that mess around with the player model. Pretty sure that's the case here.

Build #20190306-1717: updated cottages, areasprotector, bees, biome_lib, technic, facade, farming redo, homedecor, maptools, mesecons, moreblocks, moreores, pipeworks, quartz, travelnet, unified_inventory, unifieddyes, xban2, and deleted the playeranim mod.

This update shores-up 5.0.0 support, in addition to bringing in some updates. This *should* still run under 0.4.17 but well, 5.0.0 has just been released, so no point in going backwards. :-)

Known problems: there's a mod somewhere in Dreambuilder that triggers a crash rarely, but only under 5.0.0, but due to an engine issue, it just segfaults instead of generating a proper Lua crash dumps/backtraces, so I can't figure out what it is yet. All I can be reasonably sure of is that it's LuaVM-related.

Thanks for update and all your mods, i'm trying to build a server without violence (Peacfull&Kindness) in beta private test actually. (I have removed all possible weapons/capture fly/animals and added all flowers of Brewing Magic mod, added somes mods.)
