I spoke to Steve often and consider him a dear friend, his brother emailed me to inform me of his death, we have discussed the server, but it would not stay how it is with a new owner as would be their right so the server will close down soon.
Hello everyone, I am here to let you all know that SONO aka stevr59 died on the morning of Wednesday 13th March, he was the server owner as well as a dear and great friend, he is going to be sorely missed, for those of you that actually spoke to him I know that the news that we Admin do not wish to continue with the server now, will understand, it was always a three way team between SONO, personaone and myself, without Steve there is no team, he was the man most of you didn't know, but he worked hard to keep the server up and running smoothly, long hours with very little thanks. I hear your pleas of wanting to keep the server running but it would not be SONOS without the man himself and we have no wish to see the server be taken over by someone else who would not leave it intact as it is, it is natural for someone to change things how they want them but in doing so the server would no longer be the same as it is now, so please do not ask for us to continue, it has been a pleasure for the most part being an admin on SONOS servers, he taught us much and we have grown in the time that we have been here pestering you all to behave, and although we may have seemed harsh at times to you our intention was to keep you all safe while you had fun.
personaone will take pictures and hopefully a video before the server is gone, so that I can post them. Steve's family have our heartfelt sympathies at this time and always.
Regards Tink67
My condolences for those that are affected by this. I didn't know SONO very well, but I have heard from other people about how kind and helpful he was
