[32x] Reminiscent

Reminiscent is a texture pack I made, not really with any particular style in mind that was too different from default.

Instead, for each texture, I looked at default's version, and asked myself two questions:
1. What is this texture trying to be?
2. How can I express the same thing, but give it more personality?

The result was this (very incomplete) texture pack, with a feeling to it that I can't completely describe, but I'd say is somewhere between its own kind of default, and fantasy-themed.

I'm not looking for feedback just yet, as most of the textures still haven't been finished, but I'll take advice into mind if offered.

As of now, this supports the default, and instant_ores mods.

TODO list (Highest priority first):
  • Tree trunks, and remaining leaf textures
  • Mese/Diamond blocks
  • Flowers
  • Obsidian, coal, and shards
  • Everything in minetest_game
  • All naturally-occuring nodes in minetest_madman_server
  • character_creator (my version, possibly default as well)
  • Maybe some technic stuff

Your stone looks really, really dark. I'd probably go nuts mining in it since it would need a torch every 4 nodes. Same with your dirt color choice.

Keep it up though, but consider making your textures, especially the darker ones, tuned for not being totally invisible once the sun goes down. :)

I am sort of favoring darker, but also deeper/more vibrant colors.
I use this texture pack pretty much always, and I'll admit, I do need torches more often than usual.
Even so, I feel like it's best-suited for the mixture of default, fantasy and realism that this texture pack seems to be pulling me toward.

This would be a great default texture-pack for voxelands! Fits the style with more consistancy.

I'll update this pack soon. I accidentally screwed up the partition table on my hard drive and lost the progress I had made, so I've been set back a little.
