CUBE 2 MODPACK

This is the reupload but this time with proper licenses.
This modpack adds whole new blocks that beautify the game when building. They are copied textures, but they still look good. Cube 2 is a first-person shooter.

3D first-person shooter game
Sauerbraten is a networked 3D first-person shooter game. It supports modern
graphic effects and conveys a sense of fast-paced oldschool gameplay.

The game client also works as the map editor. It is even possible to create
and edit a map together with other people over a network connection.

This package installs maps, textures, sounds and other artwork of Sauerbraten.

There is no direct license for the entire modpack but the individual undermods have the right licenses. The mods as well as the textures have retained their original name and for each mod I have added the original readme file to get more detailed information if they are interested in it. Further down the post there is the readme also copied to read here.

A set of moderately clean futuristic textures. All normal, bump, and ambient occlusion maps
were baked from models made from scratch using 3d studio max. The PSD files for this set are
available on my website.

All normalmaps are in the files with the _nm suffix. The heightmaps are in the alpha channel
of the normalmap. Also, I've included two directories that contain a single copy of each normal
map in different formats, for easier batch renaming/converting/whatever. All specular maps(_s)
are completely untested, and probably need a significant amount of tweaking. Also, there a several
textures that do not have specular maps yet. If you make a set of speculars for this pack,
please let me know and I'll mirror them on my website.

If you are mapping for quake2world, the normalmaps in the base directory should work fine.
For nexuiz, use the ones in the +y folder. Apologies for all the redundancy.

Instructions for using the Terrain Texture Pack with Q3
------------------------------------------------------

** You must have installed the Q3 editor tools first **

1. Extract the zip file in the BASEQ3 directory.

BASEQ3/MAPS - terrain_soc_final (gallery map)
BASEQ3/SCRIPTS - terrain_soc.shader
BASEQ3/TEXTURES/TERRAIN_SOC - 40 textures

2. Goto the SCRIPTS sub-directory under the BASEQ3
directory and find the following
file :- SHADERLIST.TXT.

3. Open this file up in a text editor and add the
following line at the bottom of the file.

TERRAIN_SOC

4. Close the file and open GTKRadiant and you should
find on the texture menu the 1 new subdirectory.

5. To view all texture and models load the gallery map
'terrain_soc_final.map' located in the map directory.
